Ferris State gears up for home opener against Lake Erie

BIG RAPIDS - The Ferris State Bulldogs are looking for their first win of the season on Saturday when they host the Lake Erie Storm. The Bulldogs are coming off a tough loss on the road against Pittsburg State. FSU last played Lake Erie in 2016 where the Bulldogs got a 42-10 win, this year the Storm have a first-year head coach, and with this being their first game it makes preparations a little more interesting. Tony Annese and his team are looking to enjoy the game under the lights with their home crowd in attendance.

“I just told them, you know, just have fun and celebrate your opportunity to play college football. You know, sometimes guys put so much pressure on themselves that’s just not that good. So, relax, have fun. You’re playing a game of football, most of them played since they were five, six years old. This is their dream so just let you know, let their dream, be enjoyable and that’s kind of what we’re going to do Saturday,” Said Coach Annese.

The game kicks off at 6 P.M. at Top Taggart Field.
