The Wildcats jumped out to an early lead but it was the Trojans who came back for the Highland Conference win and their first win of the season.
Lake City stays in conference and heads to Pine River next week.
Evart is now 1-1 and hosts Roscommon next week to continue Highland Conference play.

Cadillac slipped to 0-2 on the year with a heartbreaking loss to the Elks.
They’ll try to find their way into the win column next week at Sault Ste. Marie.
Escanaba is 1-1 and hosts Petoskey next Friday above the bridge.
Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart 61, Engadine 8
The Irish scored early and often on their way to a lopsided win over Engadine.
MPSH returns home next week with a 2-0 record to host Portland St. Patrick.
Engadine looks for their first win of the season next Friday hosting Onaway.
Central Lake 12, Gaylord St. Mary 46
Gaylord St. Mary is now 2-0 on the season after a convincing win over conference rival Central Lake.
The Trojans fall to 0-2 and face 8-man power Inland Lakes Next Thursday at home.
Pickford 61, Brimley 6
Pickford had no trouble getting past Brimley and improved to 2-0 on the young season.
The Panthers host Carney-Nadeau next Friday while Brimley falls to 1-1 and hosts Rudyard next week.
Cheboygan 35, Sault Ste. Marie 12
Cheboygan got a road win in Sault Ste. Marie to improve to 1-1 on the year.
They host Elk Rapids next week.
Sault Ste. Marie falls to 0-2 on the young season and hosts Cadillac in a conference matchup next week.
