Beal City brings young squad into 2024 season, but expectations remain the same

MOUNT PLEASANT - The Beal City Aggies come into the 2024 season with quite the young group after graduating 14 seniors. The Aggies made it all the way to the to Division 8 state semifinal but fell to Ubly. Beal City head coach Brad Gross has led the Aggies to a highland conference title the past three years and is hungry for more this year.

“We’re going to have to stay healthy. We’re going to have to have our young guys play bigger roles, you know, there’s going to be some stiff competition. There’s a lot of good football teams there this year, you know. McBain’s returning basically everybody. Houghton Lake keeps getting much better ever. Evart have talented guys all over the field, so we’ll have our hands full. I mean the, the conference always prepares us for the playoffs,” said Gross.

Beal City opens the season at home against Ravenna on Friday.
