Boyne Arts Center relocates to downtown Boyne City for enhanced community engagement

Boyne Arts Center plans to open new facility for 2026 summer season

BOYNE CITY — The Boyne Arts Center is relocating to a new street-level space in downtown Boyne City. The organization plans to open the new facility in time for the 2026 summer season.

Securing a highly visible and accessible home has been a primary objective for the center’s board of directors. The new location is intended to better support exhibitions, arts education and community engagement in a flexible setting.

Nancy Blandford serves as the president of the Boyne Arts Center. She noted that finding a street-level location has been a priority for the organization for several years. “This has been a goal of the Board for many years — to create a street-level home that reflects the role the arts play in our community,” Blandford said.

Crews are currently working to prepare the downtown space for the upcoming move. The relocation is designed to position the arts center as a stronger downtown partner while it continues its mission to inspire and strengthen the community through the arts.

The new facility is intended to be a welcoming environment for both local residents and visitors. Blandford expressed anticipation regarding the center’s role in the downtown area. “We’re looking forward to being an active downtown partner and welcoming residents and visitors alike into a space designed for creativity, learning and connection,” Blandford said.

Specific opening dates and summer programming schedules will be announced at a later time.
