
GRAYLING — Michigan State Police’s Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force announced the arrest of a Grayling man on charges related to aggravated distributing and promoting child sexually abusive activity.
State Police say Cole Martin Halley, 22, was arrested after an investigation that began with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Troopers said a search of Halley’s residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.
Halley was charged with four counts of aggravated distributing and promoting child sexually abusive activity, four counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and one count of using a computer to commit a crime.
Halley was arraigned on Tuesday, March 3, in 87th Judicial District Court.
The task force was assisted by the Michigan State Police Houghton Lake Post, the Michigan State Police 7th District Emergency Support Team and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department.
