TRAVERSE CITY — Northern Michigan author Karen Bell-Brege and illustrator Darrin Brege have released a new children’s book. Bell-Brege and Brege have published 16 books together.
Their new book is titled “Bigfoot, Birdie and Bob.” The creators partnered with Northwoods Soda to produce “Biggie the Bigfoot Butterscotch Cream” soda to help promote literacy in Michigan.
Sales from both the Bigfoot picture books and the butterscotch soda will be contributed to the Michigan Reading Association, a nonprofit that helps promote literacy throughout Michigan.
