
LUDINGTON — The Ludington Area Center for the Arts’ “Cut, Paste, Create: A Collage Exhibition” will be on display in the art center’s main gallery from March 6-28, 2026.
Curated by Barb Forgue, the exhibition is international and features 57 artists selected from 16 states as well as Tokyo, Japan and Paris, France. The show includes traditional and innovative approaches to collage, including analog paper collage, digital compositions, sculptural assemblage and experimental mixed media.
Participating artists include Nicole Andre, Loren Bach, Ashleigh Bagwell, Beverly Post Barrett, John Bergmeier, Camille Ann Brewer, Sara Brown, J. Inky Lorain Cantrell, Anne Carman-Hendel, Corrie Church, Mania Dajnak, Cheryl Dawdy, Paula DeGregorio, Sharon Dundee, Robert Farber, Sarah Ferreira, Aimee Fresia, Laura Gabriel, Austin Garno, Jennifer Gatz, Ashlee Glasscock, Laura Grafton, Kate Hahn, Christina Haylett, Evelyn Jorgenson, Kim Kleinhardt, Julia Kohane, Kaitlyn Mikeal, Marnie Monogue, T. Michelle Moran, Sunny Nook, Thea Phillips, David Povilus, Emeline Renard, Esther Rivera, Kelsey Schoenlein, Andrew Skinner, Sarah Smelser, Jeanette Sperone, Judy Stevens, Joan Tietz, Bruce Williams, Lynn Williams, Alyssa Wiseley and Sako Yuki.
The exhibition invited artists to explore the transformative nature of collage and how disparate elements can be layered, merged, reassembled and reinvented. The show also highlights the expressive power of collage through texture, layering, abstraction, realism and found materials.
The public is invited to attend the opening reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 6.
The Ludington Area Center for the Arts is a 501c3 not for profit organization at 107 S. Harrison St. in downtown Ludington. The organization offers monthly exhibits with first Friday opening receptions, along with performances and workshops. Art Shop 107 by LACA serves as the art center’s gift shop and features original artwork from LACA members.
The art center’s hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. More information is available at www.ludingtonartscenter.org.
