TRAVERSE CITY — The 200 block of Garland Street between Hall Street and Union Street will be closed starting Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, for contractor work, and is expected to reopen at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026.
The City of Traverse City news release said the sidewalk on the south side of the street will remain open while the sidewalk on the north side will be closed.
Access to all businesses and residences will be maintained at all times and appropriate signage will be in place, according to the release. The work is weather dependent and modifications may be necessary.
Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians were asked to use alternate routes if possible to reduce congestion, delay and promote worker safety.
