BOYNE CITY — A 67-year-old man was found dead Tuesday evening following a structure fire at the Lakeview Village Trailer Park in Boyne City. The Boyne City Fire Department responded to the residence on Feb. 10, 2026.
Firefighters discovered the victim’s body inside the home during their response to the scene. No other injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
Multiple emergency agencies responded to the trailer park on Tuesday evening. The Boyne City Fire Department was assisted on the scene by the Boyne City Police Department, Boyne City EMS, the Charlevoix County Sheriff’s Office and Charlevoix County Central Dispatch.
The incident is currently being investigated by the Boyne City Police Department and the Michigan State Police Fire Marshal’s Office. At this time, investigators have not yet determined the specific cause or the point of origin for the blaze.
Authorities stated that they do not suspect foul play in connection with the fire or the man’s death. Officials emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the Boyne City community.
