BELLAIRE — Help From My Friends Pet Crisis Center will host its Pups, Purrs, and Pasta Cook-Off with Jake Slater, an Elvis tribute artist, from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at The Overlook - Chief Event Center in Bellaire.
The event will be held at 5073 Brookwood Lane.
Organizers said the fundraiser will include dinner from 4-6 p.m., with a first set from 5:15-6 p.m. and a second set from 6:15-7 p.m.
Organizer Kate said the event will allow animal lovers a fun night out.
“This winter has been brutal and has kept us all hunkered down and bundled up,” she said. “Are cabin fever and winter blues getting to you? Well, folks, swap your winter boots for “Blue Suade Shoes” and join us at our next exciting event! We would love to have your support."
The flyer also lists a bake sale, 50/50 raffle and silent auction.
Tickets are available for cash purchase at The Overlook, or attendees can scan a QR code on the flyer to reserve tickets online, organizers said.
Ticket prices listed on the flyer are $25 for adults, $15 for ages 5-12 and free admission for ages 5 and under. A $40 VIP option is also listed, along with drink tickets available.
“Help us ‘follow That dream’ and continue our mission to help as many cats and dogs as possible by attending,” Kate said.
