Suttons Bay prepares for annual Yeti Fest on Feb. 14

SUTTONS BAY — The Suttons Bay Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Yeti Fest on Saturday, Feb. 14, with events scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. throughout the village.

According to organizers, the 2026 festival is billed as “The Best Yeti Fest This Side of the Himalayas” and will include a strolling chili cook-off, a free movie at The Bay Theatre and a digital scavenger hunt with more than 150 clues, according to the chamber.

Yeti Central will serve as the event headquarters and will be located at the VI Grill outdoor patio. The chamber said visitors can purchase commemorative Yeti merchandise and day-of tickets there and take photos with the Yeti.

Activities will be held within walking distance across the village and include Family Fun with Yeti at the Suttons Bay Library, face painting at The Friendship Community Center, 4x4 hockey tournaments at the ice rink and an interactive scavenger hunt with prizes for participants and teams.

The strolling chili cook-off is scheduled from 2 to 4:30 p.m. throughout the village and will feature chili prepared by area restaurants, according to the chamber.

The day will wrap up at 5 p.m. at Yeti Central, where the chamber said prizes will be awarded for the scavenger hunt, chili cook-off and hockey tournament.

The Suttons Bay Chamber said it supports member businesses and community organizations to promote economic prosperity and tourism. The chamber described Suttons Bay as a year-round coastal village along the eastern shore of the peninsula, with specialty shops, galleries, dining experiences and a historic theatre in a walkable village.
