MT. PLEASANT— The City of Mt. Pleasant is accepting applications for round two of its CHILL Program, aimed at helping eligible homeowners make critical repairs to keep their homes safe and affordable.
The program is funded by a $423,500 grant from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, plus a $50,000 city contribution.
So far, 24 homes have been repaired through the program, with more than $247,000 already invested in completed projects.
Eligible applicants must live within city limits, meet income requirements, and own homes at least five years old, with priority given to furnace and water heater repairs.
Applications are available online or at City Hall and will be accepted through February 27 or until remaining funds are exhausted.
