PETOSKEY — Project Connect 2026 is set to take place on March 18, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at North Central Michigan College’s Student and Community Resource Center. This community event will provide free services to those in need in Charlevoix and Emmet Counties.
The event will feature services from more than 70 local non-profit agencies and businesses, offering assistance with financial problems, housing issues, employment challenges and health concerns.
Dana Lorian, co-chair of Project Connect, emphasized the goal of the event stating, “If you or someone you know is struggling with financial problems, housing issues, employment challenges or health concerns please join us for a day of FREE services and get connected to people who can help!”
The aim of Project Connect is to help individuals and families access necessary services all in one place. Lorian added, “The idea behind this special event is to help individuals and families gain access to the services they need, all under one roof, on one day.”
A special feature will be available for veterans, highlighted by Lorian, who noted, “And, if you are a veteran or part of a veteran’s family, we have a special spot just for you, our Veteran’s Corner where you can meet with representatives from state and county offices.”
To attend, no pre-registration is required, but attendees are encouraged to bring certain documents to facilitate the registration for assistance with various services. For further details about the event or to download a brochure, visit www.ProjectConnect231.com.
The event is organized by the Charlevoix-Emmet Human Services Coordinating Body, which aims to foster a support network within the community.
