I’m trading fabric for wood to create a barn quilt. I started off with a 16 by 16 square piece of wood. I used a foam brush for the base coat and smaller brushes for detail work. With a ruler, painter’s tape, and a pencil, I drew the Turn Style design I found online. The process begins by painting the wood white, followed by carefully applying blue, green, and purple to each triangle, using painter’s tape to keep lines crisp. A heat gun speeds up drying, and a tiny brush ensures clean lines.
