TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse Connect is currently accepting nominations for the 2025 Distinguished Service Award, honoring individuals who have positively impacted the Grand Traverse area since its inception in 1929.
According to a Jan. 12 news release, this prestigious award recognizes local residents committed to improving the lives of people in the Grand Traverse region.
The Distinguished Service Award celebrates those from various backgrounds, including business leaders, public servants and patrons of the arts.
Nominations are open to residents within Traverse Connect’s five-county service area. Submitters do not need to be Traverse Connect investors, allowing broader community participation.
The criteria for nominations consider contributions to the cultural, economic and social betterment of the region, emphasizing character and ethics beyond financial donations.
Nominations will be accepted until Jan. 30 at 5 p.m. The Distinguished Service Award will be announced in March, followed by the traditional Distinguished Service Award Luncheon scheduled for May.
