GREENVILLE — Michigan State Police said a 26-year-old man was accidentally killed in an industrial incident at Greenville Steel late Tuesday morning.
Troopers from the Lakeview Post were called around 11:45 a.m. after Daniel Evans was found unresponsive near a rollback flatbed truck.
Investigators said Evans and another man were delivering a scrapped forklift when the flatbed encountered resistance while being returned to its original position.

Initial findings indicate Evans became caught between the flatbed and the cab of the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
MIOSHA is investigating alongside state police; the flatbed was owned by J&A Towing of Belding, and Greenville Steel was not involved in unloading the equipment.
