Caberfae Peaks to introduce new beginner slope and chair lift

CADILLAC — Caberfae Peaks Ski Resort is planning to open a new beginner slope and chair lift as part of an expansion that is already underway.

The resort’s new lift will move about 1,400 skiers per hour and stretch almost 1,000 feet, opening access to expanded beginner terrain. The lift is expected to start near the learning area, offering what the resort described as a smoother transition for beginners heading to the slopes.

“It’ll be a little less intimidating than the big hills,” said Tim Meyer, mountain operations manager. “It will be a nice place for people to take that next step, get some more confidence, learn how to ride a chairlift, and then they can move into other parts of the resort and graduate up to more difficult terrain.”

Caberfae Peaks said the new beginner terrain and chair lift are expected to open for the 2027-2028 season.
