JACKSON — Consumers Energy is preparing for possible power outages as another strong storm moves into Michigan tonight. In a press release the energy company said winds could top 50 miles per hour late tonight through Monday afternoon, increasing the risk of downed lines and outages statewide.
Nearly 500 crews will be mobilized starting at 10 p.m. to respond as conditions worsen.
Consumers Energy urges drivers to use caution around crews and reminds residents to stay at least 25 feet away from downed power lines.
