Manna Food Project received $90,000, which will help provide approximately 156,250 meals to community members across Antrim, Charlevoix and Emmet counties.PGA HOPE, which teaches golf to Veterans and Active-Duty Military, received $25,000 to enhance its program, securing the development of their 6-8 week curriculum. Meanwhile, First Tee-Northern Michigan was awarded $10,000, enabling it to expand programming for youth and promote character development through golf.
In a Dec. 16 news release, Corey May, Head Professional at Crooked Tree Golf Club and Team BOYNE’s Harbor Cup Captain, emphasized the event’s significance: “The Harbor Cup is always a special event for all of the players, but what truly matters is the good it allows us to do. For nearly three decades, this event has become one of Northern Michigan’s most cherished traditions. We could not do any of this without all the support we receive from the community foundations, country clubs and local businesses.”
