CADILLAC — According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office in Wexford County, officials have confirmed that a body found in the Manistee National Forest last week is Rebecca Park, a pregnant woman who had been missing since early Nov. 4.

Deputies were called to the forest near the town of Boon on November 25th shortly after 2 p.m. to report a dead person found at Manistee National Forest. When deputies arrived, they confirmed a woman had been found dead and secured the scene with assistance from Michigan State Police.
An autopsy has since identified the woman as Rebecca Park.
The autopsy revealed that Park’s baby was not with the body. Law enforcement agencies are now working to determine the infant’s whereabouts.
Investigators said the cause of death is still pending, and the case remains under investigation.
