LUDINGTON — The 3rd Annual Festival of Trees, presented by United Way of Mason County, will transform Stix Bar Biergarten in Ludington into a winter wonderland from Dec. 5-14.
Local businesses will sponsor beautifully decorated Christmas trees, and visitors are invited to explore the display, vote for their favorite trees, and participate in a variety of seasonal activities.
“This might be my favorite event of the year,” said Lynne Russell, Executive Director of United Way of Mason County. “It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the season of giving, support local families and strengthen the fabric of our community.”
The festival kicks off with a concert featuring Zip City from 6-8 p.m. on Dec. 5, setting the tone for ten days of holiday fun.
Public voting for the best-decorated tree will take place from Dec. 5-14, both in-person during Stix business hours and online via the United Way of Mason County Facebook page.
The festival will culminate in a community event from 3-5 p.m. on Dec. 14, where the top three trees with the most votes will be announced.
After the festival, the trees will be donated to Mason County families to bring holiday cheer into local homes.
Funds raised through tree sponsorships and voting will support United Way of Mason County’s programs, including 2-1-1, School and Employer Resource Advocates, and initiatives focused on strengthening local resilience and improving financial stability.
