CADILLAC — People from Cadillac and the surrounding area, joining forces Friday to look for missing pregnant woman Rebecca Park.
The 22-year-old who goes by Becca and disappeared late in the evening of November 3rd, after being seen getting into an unidentified vehicle at her biological mother’s house on 21 ½ Road in Boon Township.
She has not been seen or heard from since. Many in the search party, who don’t even know Becca, came out to help.
“We have a girl out there who is 39 weeks pregnant, needs to be found. So that’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to go out and look and hopefully find something. We don’t know if she’s alive. We don’t know if she’s passed. We just don’t know anything at this point. We’re just trying to find those links,” said Becca.
Organizer Jodi Lewis put down some ground rules in the Meijer parking lot, to the dozens of people who came out to help with the search.
Lewis said she organized the search party on social media. She said she didn’t know Becca personally but was concerned hearing about her case.
“I’m very worried about that baby. I’m very worried about her. You know, you go into labor and anything can go wrong. I’m just very worried. This is her third baby, so anything could go wrong,” said
Lewis said they will be searching areas near where Becca’s cell phone was later discovered-not too far away from where she was picked up.
Calob Kozlowski with Clandestine Investigative Authority, out of Harrison, helps find missing people.
He also doesn’t know Becca but wanted to offer his services at no cost after hearing she was in foster care in her youth, being a foster kid himself, Kozlowski said he wanted to help.
“We’ve done some investigating into this, and we feel that there’s a lot of things that are off and we want to be able to share our knowledge and kind of be able to help the family and friends get some kind of closure of what’s going on,” said Kozlowski.
Chester McFadden from Cadillac was also worried for Becca’s safety, he said despite not knowing her, it didn’t matter.
“I feel sorry for the whole situation. Number one. Number two is this. I have a huge family. And if this was one of my family members, I’d love to see the kind of help that I think we’re going to have today. I have 13 grandkids, ten great grandbabies, and it just hits my heart when I see something like this happen,” said McFadden.
Gabrielle White said she made the drive from Reed City, she says doesn’t know Becca but being 14 weeks pregnant herself and the same age, it really hit a nerve with her.
“I just want her to be found safe and the baby. That’s what concerns me, because you don’t ever know what someone is going to do out there to a pregnant woman,” said White.
If you know where Becca is, contact the Wexford County Sheriff’s office.
