Fiancé of missing pregnant woman from Manton speaks out, worried for her safety

WEXFORD COUNTY — The fiancé of a missing pregnant woman from Northern Michigan is pleading for answers as authorities continue to search for her.

The Wexford County Sheriff’s Office has been looking for 22-year-old Rebecca Park of Manton, who is 38 weeks pregnant and could give birth at any time, according to her fiancé, Richard Falor.

Deputies said Park was last seen around 11:30 p.m. Monday, getting into the passenger seat of a dark-colored vehicle outside her biological mother’s home on South 21 1/2 Road in Boon Township.

“Becca told her mom, ‘Hold on. I got somebody to pick me up. This is just something I got to do. I’m sorry,’” Falor said. “A black sedan pulled up, and she got in. Nobody’s heard from her since.”

Falor said Park never told anyone who was picking her up, and the vehicle had tinted windows, leaving her mother unable to identify the driver.

Her cellphone was later found on a two-track near the home where she was last seen.

“Her phone was found on a two-track across the street from her mom’s, and anybody that knows Becca, she doesn’t go anywhere without her phone,” Falor said.

Falor said the discovery has made it difficult to track her or try to communicate. He described the couple as inseparable.

“Me and her have been together for a little over two years, and even when she’s not around me, she’s always in contact with me,” he said.

Park’s due date is Nov. 18, but Falor fears she could go into labor sooner. He said the day before she disappeared, the couple went to the hospital thinking she was in labor and learned she was one centimeter dilated.

“Me, her mom and sister, we’ve all been calling the hospitals. I just want to know that she’s safe. Our son is safe,” Falor said.

Park was last seen wearing a black coat, light blue jeans and gray shoes, and was carrying a black bag. She is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds.
