PETOSKEY — Surf Internet is expanding into several Northern Michigan communities following an $11.4 million private investment.
Construction on the expansion project is expected to begin this winter and will bring greater broadband access to nearly 9,000 homes and businesses across Charlevoix, Petoskey, Boyne City, East Jordan, and Harbor Springs.

Northern Michigan communities involved in the expansion project will gain wider access to high-speed internet options, more affordable pricing with increased competition in the market, and improved connectivity for both home and business use.
Recently, the village of Sparta received Surf Internet’s fiber-optic services and is already seeing the benefits just over a month after installation. With multiple internet providers now available, residents and businesses have greater flexibility to compare services and negotiate more affordable rates.
