SAGE TOWNSHIP — Deputies from the Gladwin County Sheriff’s Office responded Friday night to a crash involving a motor vehicle and an Amish buggy on Chappel Dam Road.
Per an Oct. 27 news release, the crash occurred at about 10:20 p.m. Oct. 24, approximately one-quarter mile north of Eagleson Road in Sage Township.
According to the sheriff’s office, a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 48-year-old Gladwin County woman struck a southbound buggy from behind. The buggy was occupied by a 37-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman.
No injuries were reported among any of the parties involved. The driver of the Jeep was issued a traffic citation to be handled by the Gladwin County 80th District Court.
Alcohol or drug impairment was not identified as a factor in the crash, according to Lt. C. Smith.
