TRAVERSE CITY— Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) is currently hosting its annual Transfer Week for students interested in pursuing a four-year degree. The events, which began on October 2, run through October 8 and will conclude with a transfer fair and college night featuring representatives from 40 different Midwest colleges and universities.
Because the majority of NMC programs are two years in length, students are strongly encouraged to explore transfer options if they intend to continue their education beyond an associate’s degree.
The event has been held for over 15 years, steadily growing to guide students through the often-complex transfer process.
In addition to the Transfer Week events, NMC offers students individualized support through academic advising. Advisors work with potential transfer students to decide on a career path, identify universities that offer relevant programs, and create a clear plan for a seamless transfer.
The Transfer Fair will take place on Wednesday, October 8, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Timothy J. Innovation Center. Students will have the opportunity to meet with college representatives, ask questions, and learn more about their options after NMC.
Anyone interested in attending the Transfer Fair can register by visiting the NMC website.
