MANTON—The Michigan Vietnam Memorial Wall is now on display at the Manton Veterans’ Memorial Museum, honoring more than 2,500 service members from Michigan who were killed in the Vietnam War.
The recently added tribute serves as a reminder of those who never returned. Visitors are invited to pay their respects to the veterans who served during that time in history.
“It’s our freedom. These people paid their life for that,” said co-organizer John Kimbel. “It will be here till at least the 27th of September, if not into October. This is an unbelievable place. It’s a great experience. There’s a lot of history here.”
The wall can be viewed Wednesdays through Saturdays until it leaves the museum. The site will also host the Hometown Hero Picnic for veterans this Saturday.
