Cadillac Area Habitat for Humanity receives top ReStore honor

CADILLAC — A big accolade for a Northern Michigan organization that helps people become homeowners

The Cadillac Area Habitat for Humanity has been named the 2025 Michigan ReStore of the Year by Habitat for Humanity of Michigan.

According to Cadillac Area Habitat, the honor recognizes them for outstanding contributions to supporting affordable housing through innovation, community impact and dedication to Habitat’s mission. They go on to say the honor goes to a ReStore for exceptional service, leadership and creativity in strengthening the community.

“We are incredibly honored that the Cadillac ReStore has been recognized as ReStore of the Year by Habitat Michigan. This award reflects the dedication of our staff, volunteers, donors, and customers who make the ReStore such a vital part of our community. Together, we are not only keeping materials out of landfills, but also helping build safe and affordable homes for families right here in the Cadillac area,” said Amy Gibbs, Cadillac Area Habitat for Humanity Executive Director, Amy Gibbs.

As part of the award, the Cadillac ReStore will get $1,500 in funding to further their mission and recognition at the 2025 Habitat for Humanity Affiliates in Motion Awards Banquet at Soaring Eagle Casino in Mount Pleasant on October 29.
