CADILLAC — The Cadillac City Council will consider a proposal Tuesday to hold a public hearing on a recommendation to allow short-term rentals.

At their August 28th meeting, the Cadillac Planning Commission unanimously voted to approve a recommendation that the City Council give the green light the amend Section 46-427 of the City of Cadillac Zoning Ordinance. It would allow for short-term rentals subject to Special Land Use in the General Business District.

The city defines a short-term rental as a furnished residential unit, including apartments, houses, rooms or any living space that owners rent out for fewer than 30 days per month.
