Cadillac city manager, Marcus Peccia said the addition of a new playground will make it more of a year round space for recreation.

“It will reactivate a park that otherwise is not used other than in the winter when folks are sledding. So having a playground there. Will, now, you know, create an opportunity for folks certainly within that neighborhood to come out and enjoy but people that are coming from anywhere.” said Peccia.

The ribbon cutting and playground opening is happening from 9 am to noon on August 23rd.

The future playground is made possible from fundraising by the Rotary of Cadillac and donations from the community, including CJ’s Excavation for donating labor to the project.
