Muskegon Bike Time returns for 19th year with rides, concerts and contests

MUSKEGON — Tens of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts and spectators are expected to descend on downtown Muskegon and the lakeshore next week for the 19th annual Muskegon Bike Time, a five-day celebration of all things motorcycle.

The event, scheduled for July 16–20, will feature scenic rides, live music, contests, and a variety of food and merchandise vendors, with most activities centered around the Hot Rod Harley-Davidson dealership in downtown Muskegon.

“Muskegon Bike Time offers motorcycle riders beautiful scenic rides along the shores of Lake Michigan as well as winding roads through picturesque forests and interesting small towns,” said Tim Lipan, spokesperson for the event. “In addition to providing an economic boon to the area, attendees are treated to spectacular motorcycles, exciting attractions, entertainment, food and shopping.”

Live music will be presented nightly on the main stage at Hot Rod Harley-Davidson, with free performances from a variety of local and tribute bands. The lineup includes CRUSH, a Bon Jovi tribute band, and Let There Be Rock, an AC/DC tribute act.

A variety of rides are scheduled throughout the weekend, including the Patriot Ride on Sunday, July 20, with a $10 donation benefiting local charities. Other scenic routes include rides along Lake Michigan’s shoreline, through West Michigan’s lake country, and into nearby towns such as Grand Haven and Holland.

Food and beverage offerings will include options from local vendors and food trucks, with cold beverages from Budweiser and regional craft brewers. Attendees will also have access to official Muskegon Bike Time merchandise and a wide range of vendor booths selling motorcycle gear, apparel and accessories.
