SUTTONS BAY — On June 8, Leelanau County Deputies and Suttons Bay-Bingham Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the marina in the Village of Suttons Bay for a report of a body that was visible in the water and a possible drowning.
According to a June 9 Facebook post from the sheriff’s office, the investigation determined that 66-year-old Robert Charles Clark of Traverse City had fallen off the dock in the harbor sometime after 11 p.m. for unknown reasons.
The incident was unwitnessed and alcohol was allegedly involved.
The incident remains under investigation. Assisting in the investigation were members of the Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Office Dive Team.
