It’s not too late to volunteer for the 99th National Cherry Festival

TRAVERSE CITY — The 99th National Cherry Festival kicks off June 28th in Traverse City.

And with a beloved festival like this, there’s always a need for volunteers. Almost all ages are welcome to help starting at the age of 12 with a wide variety of things to help out with.

And don’t worry, experience isn’t needed if you want to come out and help with the festival.

“Lots of great benefits to getting involved,” says National Cherry Festival Executive Director Kat Paye. “It’s a great social activity. And volunteering for the National Cherry Festival is very important for us. It helps us achieve all of our goals. Making sure everyone that comes to visit the festival has a wonderful time. There are very many ways you can get involved, from serving ice cream to serving beer, to serving Pepsi you name it, we have all of those options.”

And 4th of July is where most volunteers are needed.
