Angel Care Daycare moves to new Traverse City location at Church of the Living God

TRAVERSE CITY — Angel Care Daycare is relocating to a new permanent home inside the Church of the Living God in Traverse City, Michigan, this June.

The move will allow Angel Care to expand its mission of providing quality early childhood programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, especially for families with low incomes.

The new location offers long-term stability and room to grow, but significant upgrades are needed to bring the building up to code for daycare use.

These upgrades include installing multiple new exit doors to comply with fire codes and constructing an ADA-compliant sidewalk, among other renovations.

The total cost to retrofit the facility to meet strict licensing requirements for a childcare center is estimated at $150,000.

“We’re so excited to build our future at Church of the Living God,” said Kimberly Lindsey, Director of Angel Care Daycare. “There is room for us to grow in the future, both in the building and also to make use of the generous 22 acres of property. But we can’t do it alone.”

Pastor Anthony Weber of Church of the Living God emphasized the importance of community support.

“As a community, the need for quality daycare is absolutely essential,” he said.

Angel Care Daycare and Church of the Living God are relying on grants, loans, savings, and community support to fund the necessary renovations.

Angel Care and CLG are seeking donations from individuals, businesses and community partners to help fund this critical work.

Every tax-deductible contribution helps make this new chapter possible and ensures local children have a safe, nurturing place to grow and thrive.

Church of the Living God was originally built to house a school, and the pastor is encouraged to see the building brought back to full use Monday through Friday.

With community support, Angel Care Daycare hopes to complete the necessary renovations and continue providing essential childcare services to families in Traverse City.
