WEXFORD COUNTY — Everyone is safe after a truck exploded in the Cadillac Home Depot parking lot Monday afternoon. It happened just after 4:30 p.m.
The Haring Township fire chief, Jason Baughan, said the truck had 30 gallons of diesel in it which did cause some complications with putting the fire out, but it was contained within just a few minutes.
“No one is hurt. the owner of the vehicle was inside Home Depot at the time, and, one of the workers was outside and called 911. I think our guys did really well. they trained every day for this, and, they acted accordingly,” said Baughan.
Baughan also said they’re not sure right now exactly what caused the explosion. It’s still under investigation.
