ROSCOMMON COUNTY — As the holiday weekend approaches, local bait shops and anglers are preparing to sink their hooks on Houghton Lake.
The folks at Lyman’s On The Lake say spring fishing has been great with an abundance of crappies, bluegill and walleye. They say even with the cooler temperatures, they’re ready for a busy weekend.
“We’re preparing for a normal, busy memorial weekend. it’s just going to be really related to what the weather looks like. The best days to fish are going to be Sunday and Monday because of still going to be cooler, but the winds are going to be less, severe. And it doesn’t look like there’s, much rain, for Sunday and Monday,” Kurt Beachnau, Owner, Lyman’s On The Lake.
