GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY — A boating accident in Baystar Estates in Peninsula Township is under investigation.
According to a May 16 news release from the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office, the crash, which damaged several docks and boat hoists, occurred between 10 p.m. Sunday, May 11, and 7 a.m. Monday, May 12.
“Deputy France is currently investigating what appears to be a leaving-the-scene boating crash,” the release said. “He was dispatched to Baystar Estates in Peninsula Township which has several docks and boat hoists in the East Arm of Grand Traverse Bay.”
