With the temperatures rising summer will be here in the blink of an eye, we are already seeing the thunderstorms that come along with the sunny days and heat.
To mitigate the dangers of the high temperatures and severe weather Consumers Energy has strengthened the power grid throughout the year and has a number of teams on call for significant weather events, ready to be boots on the ground at a moments notice.
This is all a part of Consumers Energy’s Reliability Roadmap.
Another large element of the Reliability Roadmap is the constant expansion of the power grid and sources of energy. With the purchase of the Covert generating station, the Jackson generating station, and the Zeeland generating station Consumers Energy will be able to up its capacity, bringing more power to the people of Northern Michigan.
