Public learns more about PFAS during town hall style meeting in Cadillac

WEXFORD COUNTY— Questions were answered tonight, including those no one thought of, during a town hall style meeting as those living in Wexford County discussed the ongoing PFAS issue.

Those hosting the event state that they invited representatives from the town hall and used an empty chair to represent them, as no one came.

Those who live in Cadillac and surrounding areas shared much of their concern, including whether or not city water was safe to drink.

Bill Barnett, an active voice in the cause, assured the public that the city water was safe.

The panel also revealed it’s not just drinking water that those in the area should worry about, but the lakes.

Bill Barnett also shared that the lakes in Cadillac have tested positive for PFAS.

The panel agreed that, in the end, it is up to the town to make the changes they want to see in the election and help the town.
