FIFE LAKE — May 17th is national Armed Forces Day and the American Legion in Fife Lake is inviting the community out to celebrate.
The holiday is always the third Saturday in May and Post 219 will have fun events for the whole family to enjoy.
It’s meant to honor all those currently serving in the military and the fife lake American Legion wants everyone to feel welcome; not only veterans.
“We’re going to have a real fun day,” says American Legion Post 29th 2nd Commander William Moyer. “We’re going to have, they’re call bucket raffles. We’ve got a bunch of prizes or donations that we’ve collected. We’ve got five different bands coming. We have a special use permit for that day. So the bar in the legion is open to the public. It’ll be a cash bar.”
The festivities with food and live music will kick off Saturday at 2pm and go until 11pm.
