This morning the village of Farwell kicked off their first ‘Hometown Heroes’ event with live music, a marching band, and a rifle salute from the local American Legion post 558.
These festivities are a way to celebrate the men and women who serve our country across all branches of the military and honor the sacrifices of our veterans who call Farwell home.
The community came together to hang a number of banners honoring members of the armed forces, so if you find yourself in the Farwell area, head to Main Street to pay your respect.
