EMMET COUNTY — John Collin Denny, 35, has been arrested by the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office in connection with the death of Joshua Arthol Vanallen, 34.
According to a May 7 news release, Denny is facing multiple charges, including open murder and several weapons-related offenses. He is currently held at the Emmet County Correctional Facility.
Sheriff Matt Leirstein expressed gratitude to the Emmet County Prosecutor’s Office for their diligent work in reviewing the investigation.
The charges against Denny include homicide - open murder, weapons felony firearm, and possession of firearms and ammunition by a felon. A Habitual Offender - Fourth Offense Notice has also been filed against him.
The cooperation between law enforcement and prosecutorial teams has been highlighted as invaluable in the pursuit of justice.
