MISSAUKEE COUNTY — The Missaukee County Sheriff’s Office has located the body of Dale Eugene Fasking, a 66-year-old Traverse City resident, who went missing after a traffic accident on May 1, 2025.
According to a May 7 news release, Fasking was found deceased approximately one mile from the accident scene near Nelson and Coombs roads in Norwich Township. The discovery was made on May 7, 2025, after extensive searches involving drones, helicopters, and ground teams.
The investigation into Fasking’s disappearance began after he walked away from a traffic accident on May 1. Despite numerous search efforts, it took nearly a week to locate his body.
The Missaukee County Sheriff’s Office has notified Fasking’s family of his death. The circumstances surrounding why he left the accident scene and the cause of his death remain under investigation.
