What began years ago as the dream of Hart High School principal Troy Moran became a reality through both his dedication and the willingness of the community to support their high school students.
‘Ride with Pirate Pride’ is a program that gives one deserving student a car provided by local businesses as a way of rewarding the selected student for their dedication to their studies and school spirit.
Fast forward a few years and the event has grown to a full week of activities for the high school. But in 2024, the community sadly lost its champion when Troy passed away leaving the students and staff devastated.
But the school perseveres under the leadership of principal Ken Byard and together with Troy’s friend and colleague Sgt. Kevin Skipski and this year the festivities are a celebration of not just what Troy meant to them personally, but his legacy throughout the community of Hart.
