OTSEGO — Investigators received autopsy and toxicology results on April 9, determining that a 43-year-old female from Lansing and a 61-year-old male from Grayling died from accidental drug overdoses in Otsego.
During the initial incident, at 7:45 am April 9, troopers from the MSP Gaylord Post, deputies from the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office, and members of Otsego County Fire and EMS were dispatched to an address on Murner Road, regarding an adult male who was found deceased in his driveway by a passing motorist.
Upon arriving on scene, an additional adult female was located deceased outside of the residence as well. Two children were located inside the residence and were transported to the hospital for evaluation. Both deceased subjects were sent for autopsy.
According to an April 14 news release update, investigators received the autopsy and toxicology results for the case, which determined the deceased subjects died from accidental drug overdoses.
Both individuals had lethal amounts of fentanyl and methamphetamine in their blood.
