GAYLORD — Consumers Energy is providing free meals to customers in the Gaylord region impacted by this week’s severe ice storm.
The meals will be offered astarting at 4 p.m. April 1 at the parking lot of E-Free Church Gaylord Campus at 1649 M-32, Gaylord, MI 49735.
“We want to support customers affected by the recent ice storm and express our gratitude for their patience and cooperation as our crews work as quickly and safely as possible to restore electric service to the Gaylord region and northern Michigan,” West Michigan Media Relations Specialist Trisha Bloembergen said. “Customers have a free choice of a hamburger, coney dog or pulled pork meal with chips and a beverage provided by Consumers Energy and supplied by Smokin’ Joes Bar BQ food truck.”
Consumers Energy has restored power to over half of about 260,000 customers who lost power due to three waves of storms across Michigan over the weekend.
Consumers Energy is Michigan’s largest energy provider, providing natural gas and/or electricity to 6.8 million of the state’s 10 million residents in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties.
