This week’s Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education winner is Ryan Guimont from Charlotte Middle School.
Guimont, from Charlotte Middle School, received a $2,000 check from Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli.
“Before being principal, I was at the high school teaching,” Guimont said. “One of the reasons I wanted to move into this role (was) a lot of what we were doing in that program at the high school in Charlotte, I thought was amazing. I wanted to do that on a larger scale. I was pretty set on taking this step in the same district. I’m very grateful for that as well, so it’s awesome to see every single day. That passion comes from the people I’m with every day in the building.”
Excellence in Education Awards, sponsored by the Michigan Lottery, providing more than $29 billion to public education since 1972.
