This week’s Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education winner is Adam Kosi from L’Anse Creuse Middle School East. We have a video from your nominator, let’s take a look.
Your classroom isn’t just a place to learn music. It’s a welcoming, inspiring place where students discover their talents and build lifelong skills.
You teach 240 students a day.
That’s correct.
Tell me about what you hope the students get out of being in your program.
Well, I hope the students leave my program understanding what dedication and hard work will earn them. I realize that many of them, like, won’t go on to pursue a career in music, but it’s really an opportunity for all different types of students to grow together and share performances and make memories together.
Adam from L’Anse Creuse Middle School East receives a 2,000 dollar check from Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli. Excellence in Education Awards sponsored by the Michigan Lottery, providing more than 29 billion dollars to public education since 1972.
