On Dec. 31, 2024, the Clare County Sheriff’s Office got a tip about possible drug activity in a Hayes Township home.
Deputies executed a search warrant at the home in Harrison and said several people were inside at the time. Deputies found meth pipes, a small amount of crystal meth packed for sale and a small amount of fentanyl.
The homeowner, Michael Connors, was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Maintaining a Drug House.
Deputies learned that the narcotics found in the search had come from a Hamilton Township home earlier that night. They executed a search warrant at the second home in Harrison early the next morning, Jan. 1, 2025.
They seized approximately 165 grams of meth, as well as individual baggies of meth, and several rocks of crack cocaine. No one was home during the second search.
That home’s owner, Robert Norton, was arrested on Jan. 16, 2025 and charged with one count each of Delivery/Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Delivery/Manufacture of Cocaine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Cocaine. He was also charged as a Habitual Offender - Fourth Offense.
