CADILLAC — It’s the 17th year for the Cadillac Lions Club’s “Sink the Shack” contest.
The bright yellow shanty was placed on the ice on Lake Cadillac and will be there until the spring when it falls through and sinks.
If you buy a ticket, you can guess when it will sink and potentially win a prize. The money raised will go to glasses, hearing aids and more for those in need.
“Buy a ticket and get two for $5, five for $10. And make your guess on when the shack is going to go down. If you’re the closest, you can get $1,000. Second closest, $200,” said Timothy Anderson of the Lions Club. “People are really in need of assistance, and it’s good to have organizations like ours, like many in the area, that can help out.”
Ticket sales end Feb. 28. You can get them from any club member or by contact them through their Facebook page.
